I am an experienced Family Law Mediator, family lawyer, and Collaborative Divorce practitioner.

I believe that the vast majority of family law issues are best addressed outside of court. My practice is entirely focused on helping clients to reach agreements through non-adversarial processes such as mediation, negotiation, and the Collaborative Process. I provide honest, pragmatic advice to my clients with the goal of helping them to achieve sensible, lasting solutions for their families. I strive at all times to minimize conflict, focus on the well-being of children, and keep legal costs down.

I am passionate about improving access to justice in the area of family law. I have experience working with women who have experienced family violence and I am committed to providing trauma-informed support to women in these situations. I have also been an active volunteer with the Rise Women’s Legal Centre and Access Pro Bono for many years. I reserve a significant portion of my time for providing pro bono (free) or low bono (reduced cost) mediation and legal representation to individuals who might otherwise be unable to afford to attend mediation or to get legal advice from a lawyer.

Before launching my own family law and mediation practice in 2020, I practised family law at a leading family law firm in Vancouver from 2013-2019. Before that, I spent six years practising civil litigation, administrative law, and commercial litigation in Vancouver and New York City.

I obtained my law degree from Harvard Law School in 2007, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Western University in 2004.

In my spare time, you’ll find me spending time with my partner and two young kids, riding my bike, and playing coed soccer on my rapidly aging but enthusiastic team.
